Adobe Illustrator is the industry standard for vector graphics software. Since its launch in 1987, it has transformed from a single-platform font design utility into a multi-platform creative powerhouse.

The Universal Binary. This version was rewritten to run natively on (alongside PowerPC). It introduced the Control Bar (context-sensitive options at the top of the screen) and Document Profiles .
