If you are using the ElAmigos update file (typically around 1GB for the 2.20 to 2.21 jump), keep these installation tips in mind to ensure it works correctly:
Never install a major patch without protecting your progress. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.
El Amigos does both. It patches code and memory. It replaces a few lines, inserts one ghostly quest, and opens one impossible door.
